Garage music, Feel a lot better.
Dan was the Man….Rip…
Dan Ingram, Ron Lundy Harry Harrison, Bruce Morrow and Chuck Leonard made AM and FM radio 📻 from the 60s until 2004 awesome.
This channel is earning almost 110 subscribers and 37,600 views, including the most popular Leonard Kasaba video with almost 36,100 views!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dan Ingram was the greatest voice in top 40 radio.
The memories. He was an amazing talent, he was so unbelievably quick. I have a friend who sent a T&R to Scott Shannon, who interviewed him personally, couple of decades ago. He told him, you're good, you're really good, but here, it requires a smoothness that very few have. Please don't take it personally. Dan Ingram was totally Hall Of Fame with his presentation, so few do have what he had, and the ability to put it out there every afternoon. I miss Dan Ingram. Very much.
Before “uploads” CDs, cassettes, etc, there was AM radio, being a 10 year old with a transistor radio in 1975 as a kid in NY was a treat listening to “Big Dan”
"It's our eighth year.....I wonder how long it will last?" Said Dan. Well Dan, it lasted another 13 years, 10 months and 6 days. (May 10th, 1982, when you and Ron Lundy played the last regularly scheduled music on WABC.). And you had some more happy years after that on WCBS-FM 101 and I thank you for it all!!!
1113 thank me later
NONE BETTER THANK YOU

“Dandy Dan”
Never sounded this good coming out of my transistor.
Wish id a found this on 4th of July 2020 . Perfect as I was uncovering & moving my 1968 Thunderbird into the shade.
wow
I grew up listening to The Ingram Mess on WABC and CBSfm. RIP Big Dan Ingram
This is an amazing artifact. Everything they advertise is something that kills you or kills the earth (other than "Gorilla Milk"). And that is a crazy news bulletin near the end! Love the music and the DJ is great.
Very nice, Lenny. Is that a Gibson EB-3 you're playing? --Lenny C. I'm currently serving yet another 30 day ban on FB. I can see posts, but I can't respond on there. Lol
It is the Orville model I got from Japan; it sounds more like the 60's EB-3 than the new Gibson model, Orville was the Japanese division of Gibson in the 80's.
RIP Dan Ingram. He passed away in 2018 I found out 😭
2Legit2Quit Rumor has it he choked to death on a piece of steak. What a horrible way to go

RIP, Dan. He passed away yesterday, June 24, 2018. I was a devoted WCBS 101.1 FM listener when I was in my teens in the early 1990s. Thank you for introducing me to 1950s-60s music.
Craig Smith rumor has it that he choked to death on a piece of steak

Jack Specter was pretty good too
Rip
Justin Fencsak : Just heard of Big Dan Ingram’s passing. Sad to hear. “Eternal rest grant unto him oh Lord...And may perpetual light shine upon him..”
RIP Dan....
RIP DAN!
This recording is too slow.
Love putting these old tapes on at the beach and just closing my eyes and traveling back. God bless you tube and the people who post them.
Dan Ingram and my (teal blue) transistor radio were my constant companions in the 1960s. Such was my life as an only, lonely child
When radio was actually listenable.
Wow, Lenny, Being a native of Queens, this really brings back some nostalgic memories. Thanks.
